Are Democrats for guns now?

With all the gun laws that Democrats pushed though it is surprising that all day they yelled to have the gun taken from their head – who has a gun to their head? And are they not worried that such rhetoric would actually cause someone to take a gun to their head? It was not long ago that they themselves criticize people for even making a so-called reference of any gun usage, especially since one of the own has already been injured due to the usage of gun violence.

No it’s no April Fool joke – Cook County Board President Preckwinkle today announce the beginning of the $25.00 TAX that will be imposed on all firearms brought in Cook County.

So now if you purchase a new gun or want to get a gun to protect yourself – you must foot in money for the gang member hospital bills because they want to shoot each other and can not afford to pay their hospital bills. Gun violence will now cost you more money even through you are not the one committing it or have anything to do with it.

And how does this exactly stop gun violence????

Also there will be a $2000 fine for not reporting a stolen or lost gun in Cook County, and a violence prevention fund to supposedly get back the communities – would that be City communities? – from those that wage warfare.

“The Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence thanks President Preckwinkle and the County board for passing and implementing this important measure,” said Colleen Daly, Executive Director of The Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence. “This tax is an extremely important step toward making the gun industry accountable for the damage caused by their products.”

And who is holding gang members accountable?

Why do taxpayers who are being terrorized by these gang member and their gun violence – now have to pay so they can terrorized them????

Talk about a city that is out of control!

In Chicago the weekend headlines read, “8 dead, at least 30 hurt in weekend violence” and yesterday the headline read, “11 shot overnight in Chicago gun violence.”  On Nov. 22 the headline was “5 dead, 20 wounded in holiday weekend violence.”  That’s 74 people shot in 12 days, that has to be some kind of record.

But all you get out of the high ups is that crime is down??  Chicago Police Department CompStat states that 470 murders have take place this year, higher then the 2010 stat of 405.  At this rate we are well on our way to hit over 500 by the end of the year. 

The Mayor of this criminal town gives a million dollars to the great interceptors Cease Fire and you never hear a word of all the great work? they are doing preventing shootings, they move around police officers like they are chess pieces to no avail and come out to say crime is down to appease the masses.

In most citizens eyes crime is not down, mostly because it is happening on their block or area.  Citizens have found that calling for help can mean long waiting times (if at all) when police do arrive; most times police will just drive though and if they see nothing or hear nothing they will just keep going.  Is this because, in reality, there is a shortage of police, there are too many calls that need to be handled at one time or the rules and procedures that are dictated to them by the all-knowing crime-fighting Chicago politicians.
 
It is getting to look like Chicago is the town without pity.
