or the #ACA Health Care program.
Merriam-Webster
Dictionary definition of scam is “a fraudulent or deceptive act or
operation.” The FBI describes mass marketing fraud to includes any
plan, program, promotion, or campaign that is conducted through
solicitation by telephone, mail, the Internet, or other means (e.g.,
mass meetings) to induce multiple persons to (1) purchase goods or
services; (2) participate in a contest, sweepstakes, or lottery; (3)
invest for financial profit; or (4) otherwise pay advance fees or
“taxes” for services that are promised but not delivered. They
warn what to look for: Being
asked for personal financial Information such as bank account
information or credit card numbers via the telephone or by email.
Using high-pressure sales tactics so as not to give you time to think
about the information you are providing.
Do
the words, “ if it's too good to be true, it usually is.” The
ACA, aka Obamacare, bill was almost totally written behind closed
doors without any transparency, the 2000+ pages were never read
before a vote was taken, it
was voted in by a single party, Democrats. Deception was abound with
words like, “we have to pass the bill before you'll know what's in
it,” “if you like the plan you have, you can keep it,” and/or “
you will be able to keep your doctors.”
Since
the bill was passed the lies and deception increased as the days,
weeks and months went by to point that one has to wonder if anyone
that pass the bill knows the truth themselves. There has been and
still are promotions and campaigns by phone, mail, internet and mass
meeting to purchase a service that required you to give full
disclosure of your personal and financial information before you
could view any further information. All this was done with
high-pressure sales tactics with a touch of fear of penalties.
Obamacare
has all the makings of a scam including the making of promises that
can not be delivered.
